FAQs
What does it mean to be a weekly adorer?
Weekly adorers are committed to showing up every week for their assigned holy hour.
Do I need to commit to an hour to go to adoration?
You do not need to make a commitment for our current public hours (M–W: 10 AM–4 PM; F: 10 AM–12 PM).
During office hours (M-F; 10 AM–4 PM), you can request a door code for the Oratory from the parish office. However, if you sign up for a weekly commitment or to be a substitute, you will have access to overnight adoration hours as well.
What if I cannot make it to my weekly hour?
Request a substitute using the WeAdoreHim website.
If you have any issues with the website, please contact your Shift Captain, or Scott Rustand at , or Amy Rustand at
What do I do when I arrive for my scheduled time?
Use your code to enter the Oratory, and check-in on the kiosk for your scheduled time.
What am I supposed to do during a weekly holy hour?
The Oratory is dedicated to Saint Zachary, ask for his intercession. You can join us in praying for vocations, sitting in silence, reverently praying, reading, journaling or listening to spiritual music in your headphones.
Why should I commit?
Find peace and renewal in the quiet presence of Jesus. Offer your prayers for personal intentions, vocations, our parish, and the world. Be a part of a beautiful tradition rooted in the Church Fathers that draws us closer to God, and help us make this ministry available to others.
Do you have to be Catholic and a member of SEAS to sign up for adoration?
You do not have to be Catholic to attend Eucharistic Adoration. Anyone is welcome to participate. Eucharistic adoration can bring a sense of peace, comfort, and healing to anyone who attends, regardless of their religious background. However, it's important to be respectful of the sacred nature of the practice. This means being mindful of quiet prayer, avoiding distractions, and following all the Adoration Guidelines, including genuflecting (kneeling) when entering and leaving.
