Books and Resources - The hours spent are often best structured by books which gently focus the mind's attention and the heart's devotion.
Moments Divine Before the Blessed Sacrament - Rev. Frederik A. Reuter - Each short chapter begins with a story of a Eucharistic miracle, followed by several prayers. Each chapter ends with a Sacred Heart Reading and the "May the Heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament be blessed..." prayer.
Adoration - Eucharistic Text and Prayers Throughout Church History - Daniel P. Guernsey -A compilation of meditations and prayers on the Eucharist from many Saints and Doctors of the Church with their love of the Holy Eucharist. The readings are only a few pages each so it makes good meditation material.
Letters to a Brother Priest - Rev Vincent Martin Lucia and Msgr Josefino Ramirez - this is only available as a used book, but is very much worth buying. It's a treasure. The authors are from Manila, Philippines where perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is in most of their parishes. They are letters written in the 1990's and most are tied into a feast day. Great reading during Adoration.
Eucharistic Miraclesand Eucharistic Phenomena in the Lives of the Saints - Joan Carroll Cruz - Documents 36 such miracles which occurred from 800 AD to the present day. This book tells of consecrated Hosts which have visibly turned to human flesh, have bled, levitated, and which have become hard as flint when received by a person in mortal sin. It details the official investigations that have been made into these miracles by scientists throughout the world, and where some can still be venerated today. Eucharistic Miracles also recounts miraculous Eucharistic phenomena in the lives of saints.
