Meet Jose Francisco Martinez

Seasaws sponsor Jose through the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging.
The following are excerpts from a letter recieved from Linda Mariel Martinez, Jose's   granddaughter.

Let me tell you that my grandpa is so happy to know there are people with good hearts just like you. You are helping me through CFCA. I have nutrition every month. I got Christmas gifts. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support. It has been a blessings and benefit for him. He had a nice Christmas with the family. He ate tamales, bread, fruits, drank coffe and juices. He shared with neighbors. He went to the evangelic church and we thought about the birth of the Devine Redeemer.

Columbarium Committee

St Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium

One of the most wonderful reminders of our community with the departed is the custom of burial within the   confines of the Church.  The bones of the saints are placed beneath the altar and the faithful have been buried in crypts and parish cemeteries.  A church yard columbarium returns Christian burial to the parish church.  The dead have found their dwelling place in a living community of faith.

A columbarium at St Elizabeth Ann Seton will offer our parishioners and their families a beautiful setting for the perpetual care of their cremated remains on the church grounds, close to the Community and surviving family.

We are planning to construct a columbarium to receive the remains of our beloved dead.  It is to be located east of the church building, in the East Garden which will include the Stations of the Cross.   Niches will be available to parishioners and their family members, as well to the local Catholic community. Niches will be available in the Spring of 2013.

A columbarium will provide a constant reminder of our love for those who have died and of the importance of our continued prayers for them.
